Hi there,
I just for a new Linux instance of Orthanc setup and am test uploading some studies.

I am getting some text and image distortion usually on some of my images (usually the patient demographic image) This is a .dcm image of the demographic page not a structured report.

When I use the "preview this series" the image looks fine, but when viewing in the Orhtan viewer, it looks distorted.

Any ideas on how I can fix this? Maybe something with my configuration?

Thank you,
Kyle

This looks like JPEG compression artifacts.

The Orthanc WebViewer uses lossy JPEG compression (with a 95% quality) while the preview button requests a JPEG with a 100% quality.  Usually, that should not make a big difference unless your dicom files already contain low quality jpeg.

I would advise you to use the StoneViewer instead of the Orthanc WebViewer which is very basic.

HTH,

Alain.

Hi Alain,
Many thanks! I'm working on setting up StoneViewer and testing OHIF viewer as well.
Thanks for your help. Kyle
