After the presentation of the first Everywhere watch, Rmi Maillat, founder of Krayon, presents a custom timepiece. Through exchanges with the client, taking his ideas into account and associating his personality with Krayon's own environment and its unique complication, Rmi Maillat has created Everywhere Horizon.

On land and at sea, the path of the sun across the sky underpins the notion of time and is even a way to measure its passing. Krayon's founder Rmi Maillat nurtured his dream to be able to know sunrise and sunset times at any point on the globe, thanks to a mechanical movement. By making this dream reality, he have achieved something totally unprecedented in watchmaking: a universal mechanical calculator that gives the exact sunrise and sunset times.

The blue arrow indicates the hours, with a 24-hour scale on the outside ring. Actually between 8 and 9 o'clock. The minute can be read at the center (39 minutes).
The hour arrow, like the Sun crosses all the color of the day and night.

The limit between the day in yellow and the night in blue indicates the sunset. We can read the sunset time on the outside ring (7:30pm).
The daylight duration is shown by the scale on the discs. (12hours and 25 minutes)

This hand indicates the latitude parameter set by the wearer for the calculation of sunrise and sunset times. Currently indicates 0. The latitude can be adjusted from 60North to 60South. Beyond these latitudes there would be no sunrise and sunset every day throughout the year.

Indicates the UTC time zone parameter used to calculate and display the sunrise and sunset times. Currently shows +8. The setting can be made in 30-minute intervals, allowing you to select half time zones, which are used, for example, in India.
When switching to daylight saving time (DST), follow the direction of the DST arrow to make a one-hour adjustment of the UTC parameter.

All settings are made via the crown.
The crown has 3 positions: The first one for manual winding of the movement, the second one for setting the time, and the third one is multifunction. It allows the setting of the function selected by the function selector (date, latitude, longitude or utc). all settings are made in both directions and without limits.

The outer dial materialises the whole day with its 24 hours scale. sunrise and sunset times are read on it where the day and night sectors meets. As the seasons change, or at different locations, the number of daylight hours lengthens or shortens. The blue arrow, indicating the hours on this same dial describes the path of the sun as it travels through the sky.

Everywhere Horizon reaches this seemingly simple result by combining the four parameters that influence sunrise and sunset calculations. First latitude and longitude, which geographically define a point on Earth, then the UTC time zone, and lastly the date and month.

Hours are read from the outer dial thanks to a blue arrow on a 24-hour scale. Minutes are shown by a large central hand. A subsidiary dial in the upper part of the main dial displays longitude between +180 and -180, shown by the longest of the two hands. The shorter hand points to the UTC time zone and advances in half increments to take into account every time zone in use around the world. The DST (Daylight Saving Time) indication reminds how to adjust for summer time. Two hands occupy the centre of the main dial: the one on the left covers latitude between 60North and 60South while the hand on the right shows the chosen parameter: date, latitude, longitude or UTC. A subdial in the lower portion of the dial presents date and month.

The concept of the USS (Universal Sunrise Sunset) calibre is nothing short of exceptional. All 595 components have been designed and manufactured to order, including the balance spring. Thanks to this, Krayon's engineers have succeeded in producing a surprisingly compact movement - given its immense complexity - measuring 6.5 mm high. This ingenious calibre is able to combine parameters that give opposing influence in result of Sunrise and Sunset times. It also incorporates an equation of time, a secret function that is not shown on the dial, used for the calculations. The USS calibre is fitted with four differentials, 84 gear assemblies and a total of 145 gear parts. Three patents have been filed to protect these inventions. Automatically wound by a gold micro-rotor, the USS calibre beats at a frequency of 3 Hz and delivers a 80-hour power reserve..

Everywhere Horizon's case, which measures 43 mm in diameter, is singularised by a bezel set with 70 baguette diamonds, weighing some 3.50 carats in total. The lugs are also set with 24 baguette diamonds for a total of around 1.35 carats. The case itself is exquisitely decorated.

This miniature sculpture is a combination of several engraving techniques and has been carefully executed by hand using gravers and other very specific tools. As a final flourish, Everywhere Horizon is mounted on a black alligator strap with a white gold pin buckle.

I don't know if it's Covid related or just that the number of Platinum/Diamond has become too numerous, results may vary. I've seen posts that said they got a glass of wine and a drink coupon, may or may not have any food. Think I saw a post where they had a Diamond luncheon? Could vary by ship and number of D/P.

Yep, it varies from ship to ship. But mostly the reports I have seen for the glass of wine and drink coupon are coming off the MG. Just too many P& D's running aboard that ship. and you still have to run around the ship to pick up your pin and amenities.

On 4 day Sunrise two weeks ago. No joint party but they had a diamond "party" around 10:30 on sea day. Passed a few sweets around and had free drinks. Some officers came in introduced themselves as a group and left right away. No captain, eas like housekeeping, food service, hotel director, etc. There was like 10 of us there and a few of us talked amoung ourselves for a half out and left.

We were on Mardi Gras in August and April and it was exactly the same both times - given a glass of wine (choice of red or white) or soft drink upon entering the theater (no food trays). Short presentation/introductions, and a video presentation. They tell you that a free drink "coupon" was loaded onto your card 1 hour prior to the party (and it was, we used ours before the party at Fortune Teller Bar). The free drink does have a value limit, I think I had to pay like $1.50 towards it.

I was at the Ecstacy party also. I had two beers and could have had a 3rd, but two was enough. The beers were already poured in a glass. It was not a large crowd and we were not rushed. Actually, the CD made comments that we should all drink up and enjoy. This was a much different atmosphere than on the Valor where we seemed to be an inconvenience and we had a booking conflict for the Theater and we had to be out in 30 minutes.

To the OP's question - On our DEC 2021 Glory cruise and our Dream cruise last week, the Platinum/Diamond party was held on the last night (which was the last sea day), and it was for both groups. No food, but complimentary drinks that were already made OR you could order something else, also complimentary. According to the P/D perks info, supposedly there are also free drinks pre-loaded to your S&S card to be used in the dining room, but we've found it to be too much trouble to use. We end up having to go to Guest Services to get our account adjusted.

Vista and Horizon in the last few months, both had the full P&D party in the Liquid Lounge with unlimited free bar service, drink trays going around, and the big beer and wine tub iced down for the duration. Awesome times for sure... only changes I noticed from pre-'VID were the lack of food and no more little games for plaques/group photos. Also, I don't believe the captain attended on Horizon.

thanks for all your reply's, looks like it's as it was in the old days except for the little snacks, but on the new ships looks like it has been scaled way back. pity because on the perks page it still lists the full party.

On Sunshine end of March the drinks were on trays and waiters passed them out liberally. If you wanted something specific, they would try and get it. No food, had a duo singing for the first 30 minutes. We enjoyed it!
