Extra short range guns and very slow torps. What's supposed to be their advantage? By all aspects they are inferior to all other DDs in their tiers. The torps have range but are so slow and easily spotted you won't hit anything with half a brain. What am I not seeing??Extra short range guns and very slow torps. Background: Households are an important location for severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) transmission, especially during periods when travel and work was restricted to essential services. We aimed to assess the association of close-range contact patterns with SARS-CoV-2 transmission.

Methods: We deployed proximity sensors for two weeks to measure face-to-face interactions between household members after SARS-CoV-2 was identified in the household, in South Africa, 2020-2021. We calculated the duration, frequency, and average duration of close-range proximity events with SARS-CoV-2 index cases. We assessed the association of contact parameters with SARS-CoV-2 transmission using mixed effects logistic regression accounting for index and household member characteristics.

Conclusions: We did not find an association between close-range proximity events and SARS-CoV-2 household transmission. Our findings may be due to study limitations, that droplet-mediated transmission during close-proximity contacts plays a smaller role than airborne transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in the household, or due to high contact rates in households.

If you prefer a sweeter taste, look for semi-sweet chocolate in the range of 50 to 60 percent cacao. Chocolate and hazelnut are both intense flavors, so to find a balance, it's best to match the bittersweet flavor of hazelnut.

I made this for the first time last night and it was delicious! I was a little bit nervous about getting the sauce right especially as I cook on a wood range. Anyway, it turned out very well. Thank you once again Nagi.

The employment of remote sensing (RS) survey methods, in particular of close-range methods, as part of the muon imaging process is becoming a topic of growing interest. Use of light detection and ranging (LiDAR) methodologies, like terrestrial laser scanner (TLS), together with the unmanned aerial vehicles digital photogrammetry (UAV-DP) and satellite data are proving to be fundamental tools to carry out a reliable muographic measurements campaign. The main purpose of this presentation is to show the importance of correctly plan TLS and UAV-DP field surveys for muon radiography applications. To this aim, a real case study is presented: the research of hidden tombs at the Volumni Hypogeum archeo-geosite (Umbria, Italy). A high-resolution digital terrain model (DTM) and three-dimensional models of the surface/sub-surface were created merging different RS survey methods. The muon flux transmission was measured using the MIMA detector prototype (Muon Imaging for Mining and Archaeology). The latter is a small tracker (0.5 x 0.5. x 0.5 m3) developed by the physicists of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN), unit of Florence, and the Department of Physics and Astronomy of Florence. The measured muon flux was compared to the simulated one, obtained using the three-dimensional created environment, to infer information about the average density of the studied target along the various LoS (line of sight). The study highlights the importance of correctly carrying out the TLS and UAV-DP survey to make reliable hypotheses and decisions throughout the muographic measurement campaign. Furthermore, we pointed out how the precision of the tridimensional data can bias the muon imaging results.

Short range air defense (SHORAD) is a group of anti-aircraft weapons and tactics that have to do with defense against low-altitude air threats, primarily helicopters and low-flying aircraft such as the A-10 or Sukhoi Su-25. SHORAD and its complements, HIMAD (High to Medium Air Defense) and THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) divide air defense of the battlespace into domes of responsibility based on altitude and defensive weapon ranges.[1]

The Canadian Forces Land Force Command used the Air Defense Anti-Tank System[2] (ADATS) based on the M113A2 prior to its retirement from service in 2012. ADATS is a completely self-contained system in an unmanned turret with FLIR (Forward-Looking Infrared) and TV sensors, laser rangefinder and designator, a search radar. Composed of eight missiles, the ADATS can find and hit multiple threats in few seconds. Also in the Canadian Army, the Coyote Reconnaissance Vehicle and LAV III hold anti aircraft turrets that are capable of destroying attacking aircraft. They have a range of 2400 meters. After the withdrawal of the ADATS, Rheinmetall Canada made the AMADS (Advanced Man-portable Air Defense System) which serves as the short range air defense trainer for the Canadian army.

Rheinmetall Air Defence has developed two types of SHORAD systems called Skyranger 30 and Skyranger 35.[3] Some Skyranger 30 were donated to Ukrainian Ground Forces to assist against Russian invasion of Ukraine. Denmark has also ordered the Skyranger 30 mounted on Mowag Piranha Vs on 16 May 2023.[4]

In the United States Army, Avenger air defense artillery battalions will be assigned to a theater or corps, and may attach air defense platoons to a brigade combat team or maneuver battalion. SHORAD units are based upon a mounted platform, the AN/TWQ-1 Avenger, which utilizes eight FIM-92 Stinger missiles coupled with a FLIR, laser range finder, and a M3P .50 caliber machine gun for close-in defense.

Overview

The Italian Cabinet Galleries contain paintings and precious objects like those that would have been in the small private chambers or studies (studioli) of an Italian Renaissance prince, humanist, or well-to-do merchant. In such rooms, collectors expressed their individual taste and interests through the rare and beautiful objects they chose to display.

A studiolo generally held objects that were small and finely detailed, meant to be handled and admired at close range: paintings and bronzes, carved gems, coins and medals, rock crystal vessels, gilt and silver clocks, small arms, ivory carvings, and brightly painted maiolica dishes. Many of these objects reflected the Renaissance fascination with classical Greece and Rome. Collectors sought out rare antiquities and commissioned works from modern artists that incorporated heroes and motifs from the ancient world. The objects in these galleries also reflect the international influences at work in Renaissance Europe, for example the spread of Italian taste for ornamentation and the antique to the court in France, and the incorporation of styles from the Near and Far East in Italian bronze and ceramic vessels.

Just be sure that you get the temperature steady on the grill before adding the chicken breasts. The grill will have more inconsistent heat, so you'll have to pay closer attention to the cooking time.

The Army recently awarded a contract to manufacturer SIG Sauer for two new soldier weapons: the XM5 rifle and the XM250 automatic rifle. For soldiers involved in close-quarters combat, the XM5 will eventually replace the M4/M4A1 carbine rifle, while the XM250 will replace the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon.

It's expected that the first unit of soldiers involved in close-quarters combat will be equipped with the new system in the fourth quarter of 2023, Burris said. Soldiers involved in close-quarters combat include 11B infantrymen, 19D cavalry scouts,12B combat engineers, 68W medics, and 13F forward observers.

The new rifles will be paired with the XM157 Fire Control system, which will increase accuracy and lethality for the close-combat force. The XM157 integrates, among other things, a variable magnification optic, backup etched reticle, laser range finder, ballistic calculator, atmospheric sensor suite, compass, visible and infrared aiming lasers, and a digital display overlay.

Reaper is a short-ranged flanker and one of the deadliest heroes in the game up close, with even Tanks like Reinhardt and Roadhog melting under the power of his Hellfire Shotguns. Wraith Form is one of the greatest invulnerability tools in the game; Reaper can use it to escape or chase his enemies thanks to his increased speed and immediate reload. Shadow Step is another flanking ability; provided enough time to set it up, he can use it to move to any location within his line-of-sight. When the main fight begins, Death Blossom can turn the tide of battle when using it in the middle of the fight. Its high constant damage can tear most heroes to shreds if they are not prepared. Reaper's relative simplicity makes him a good hero for new players, while still remaining deadly in experienced hands.

Reaper lacks in-combat mobility, as his Wraith Form is mainly used to save his life and escape from near-death situations, and Shadow Step is very loud and makes Reaper unable to move for a while, so he becomes easy prey if spotted. Reaper works best in close-combat and is nearly useless in fighting at mid- to- long range due to quick damage falloff and the large spread of his weapon. Death Blossom is easy to shut down by stunning Reaper or blocking it with a friendly barrier. Reaper is most effective in a team composition or a map that keeps the fight in close-quarters.

Developer Comment: Reaper's shotguns have a high damage potential but require close range or large targets to fully utilize. We're smoothing this out by extending the range at which he can consistently deal damage while lowering the maximum damage of each shot.

In this project multiscale data collection was performed documenting surface modifications at increasing levels of resolution and magnification, ranging from macro to sub-micro scales. The analytical strategy involves the recurrent recording of features before and after each replicative cycle. In order to capture the geometry of stone objects, 3D models were generated from photographic datasets. To investigate surface texture at micro to sub-micro scales, molds (obtained with PVS) of the stone surface were taken and observed with different microscopes. Additionally, the microtopography of specific controlled areas was reconstructed in 3D and measured using a confocal profilometer (for detail see [23,29]). The generation of 3D models and molds provided a multiscale documentation that not only enabled comparisons at any stage of the experiment, but also offered the added value of producing a permanent tool usage biography. While molds can consistently and persistently capture the micro and sub-micro scales of specific areas of the tool surface texture at the unused stage (T0) and throughout all the experimental cycles (up to T4), the 3D model generated by means of close-range photogrammetry allowed for a comprehensive analysis of the artefact at macro scale. This analysis reveals changes not only in localised areas of the surface (as microscopic studies do) but also in the entire geometry of the tool, which is the focus of this article. The multi-scale approach in its complex structure allowed for the characterisation and quantification of surface depletion, as well as modification/development of wear and preexisting natural features such as cracks and fractures, even on the unused stone faces.
