You have students researching together online to inform themselves, and framing their work for the project. The lesson plan and associated standards are well written. The rubric is tight and direct.
I'm interested to see where you take this. I'll also push back a bit. As you have students read online and search for more info (possibly in ORC), I might also find a way to have students identify and analyze bias, perspective, and/or argument. These are tough pieces to teach, and I think you'll have a great opportunity to discuss it with students.
I'm really excited to see what you do with OCC as well.
