I decided to focus more on evaluating sources which would happen prior to deeper online reading, but this lesson is what my coordinating teacher and I will deliver very early in the upcoming school year. It requires online reading comprehension, evaluating credibility by skimming and scanning, and identifying key details in online texts. It's a work in progress, but I'm sure it's a lesson I will have to give to every class before releasing them on any independent research projects.

Good work.
Excellent integration of having students search, sift, and evaluate online content. I'd be interested in seeing how they connect and relate the information they find online...with the "traditional" info from the textbooks. I'd also be interested in how they relate the events with the khmer rouge and other points in history that they can relate to in their own lives.
