To complete Module 1, I decided to experiment with screencast-o-matic.com and record an introductory video for Prezi. Prezi is an online presentation design site that anyone can use to make their presentations more engaging than Microsoft PowerPoint. I have used Prezi for years and have found that while there are more options to present my information, but it is also more fun to create and present to my peers. These are a few of the many reasons why I chose to create the tutorial that I would like to share with my future students to use as a tool in our classroom.

Please follow the link below to read my blog post about the Multimodal Tutorial. The video can be found on my Google+ account under videos, or in another Google+ post. (I am not on Youtube so the HD video was more complicated to post online!) I hope you find the tutorial useful and will create a Prezi account of your own. Be creative and have fun!

The video can be found by clicking on the Google+ link in the blog, then search either under my video uploads tab or the post made on May 6th with the "Introduction to Prezi" tutorial.

Hi Meghan,

The video screencast looks great. Please embed the YouTube video into the blog post that you shared. You can use this for more info. Also, I would add some text to the blog post about Prezi to indicate what it is...and how you want your students to get started using it.

Keep in mind...you are preparing these materials so your students can figure out how to use the tool. You're scaffolding them as they get started. You want to include multiple modes of text to get them started. Mix in text, video, etc. to help them out.

The blog looks good. Embed the video, add in some text and you'll get that first badge for the MOOC. :)

Respond back here when you fix the post.
