I would like to apply for the Module 4 badge.

My discussion post is about constructing meaning from online content rather than having students post things online solely for the sake of posting things online. I have also created a Storify that has links to ways in which teachers can incorporate online content construction into their lesson plans as well as the benefits of online content constrution.

For my lesson plan, I have created a 2 week unit that is a wrap-up to the Macbeth lesson plan I created for Module 2. Students would work in groups to create Digital Storytelling videos for the following scenario: They are to imagine that Macbeth took place in a modern-day high school and would have to adapt one act from the play to fit the scenario.

I have to say that I am pretty excited about the unit I've come up with but would love some feedback and any suggestions to make it better. Thanks!

Hello Stephanie Brody,

Excellent job putting this unit plan together. You've got quite an ambitious goal set forth to try and scaffold your students as they develop their digital storytelling projects. I think you also have an opportunity to embed some variants of formative and summative assessments in this. Specifically, I think you can have your students blog about their decisions over time. You can also build in assessments at the end by having students talk (record audio or video of this) about decisions made in the process. You'll get a better understanding of their design decisions in the process.
