Great work Christel. I like the ideas that you're developing in these lesson plans. I'm looking forward to seeing how it all comes together in the full unit plan.
I appreciate your use of multiple student grouping structures in the lesson plan. Frequently we ignore these elements as we think about student learning.
It will be intriguing to see how the students collaboratively research and identify possibilities for learning more about the depression era. I have experience with another version of this text. I had students research online to learn more about "The American Dream." Students would read online about this topic on various blogs and websites. At the conclusion I had the students indicate what "The American Dream" meant to them.
