My lesson I did was on a collaborative newspaper my health education students had to do this past week.  Here is the attached lesson plan.

Looks good. This is such an important topic as well. I would suggest a couple of things.

First, I would add in a connection to the web lit map. Privacy and security are very important (and hot) right now. Add in the literacies you think your students are addressing.

Second, do you have a graphic organizer that students will fill out as they complete the activity?

Add these two elements and you'll have earned that badge. Great work.

Sorry just saw this.  Here is the added elements (I hope).  I unfortunately do not have an organizer.  I do have a template the students use and I can send that over when I get to school tomorrow (it isn't on Google drive).  Based on the comfort level of the students they can use a variety of layouts for this project.  For example, some might choose to use a Microsoft program that sets up a newspaper format for them while others are less comfortable and use regular paper and glue.  I have also gotten from students a newscast which was awesome!  I try and give them a bunch of ideas but do not limit them to a specific format.  Is that what you meant? I hope

Hi Cari,

Good job. I appreciate your use of the student newspaper and online sources to discuss bullying. This is a very important topic, and I'm interested to see how it affects the culture of the building.

I'm also interested to see how you scaffold students as they read, write, and publish this content.

I also think you'll have other connections to the web literacies. Something to think about.

Good work. Badge awarded.
