Here is the link to my blog post for module 4. In my blogpost, I demonstrated a small online project in which students create a visual advertisement as well as submit text in order to explain their thought process around creating the ad. The ad is based off of the novel 1984 and the purpose of this project is to get students to critically think about what substances and visuals can draw a consumer to read a novel or to watch a movie. The students then must post their ad and paper on Edmodo for their classmates to read and comment on.

Good work.

I like the use of advertisements and having students create digital content using that as the model. Keep in mind, that you'll have to build in some lessons that allow them to focus on the visual literacies and semiotic elements involved in advertising. I think there are also numerous opportunities to have students consider how advertisements impact their own lives as well.

Good work. Badge awarded.
