Hi Christel,

Great work. The lesson plan is well-written. I already told you that I appreciate the choice of text. I also like the fact that you're interchanging online texts with traditional pieces. Most of all, I love the focus on gender in your lesson. I'm interested to see how this integrates into your full unit plan.

One piece that I would add in to the worksheet and rubric for students to complete as they evaluate sources...I would add a line for each source having students indicate WHY they selected that source. You have the explanation of source...where they would possibly explain what they learned. I would then have them indicate why they selected it.

Also, I would build in some elements of synthesis by having students use a graphic organizer, possibly a Vee, or Gowin's diagram to explain what they learned from each source...and then what they learned across the sources. I always found it to be a challenge to have students synthesize across texts.

Great work. Looking forward to seeing the final elements.
