Excellent job Jody. I get so excited when I see that you've submitted your lesson plans and work. I think this lesson, and the overall unit will be excellent.

I'm intrigued to see that you have students collaboratively researching online and synthesizing this into a presentation on race in America. This is an important issue, made even more important due to recent events in Ferguson. It would be interesting to have students not only research online, but in the future modules and the remainder of the unit...if they construct materials and share them online. Additionally, in ORC, if/when you have them search online they'll find a number of sources with differing mode, reliability, relevancy, and bias. It'll be a powerful time to teach your students how to read across these sources and see what they think/feel about the subject.
