I love the Ma.gnolia bookmarking service, particularly their groups
service, so I made us all a group.

Currently the site I linked to is the OrlandoPHP.org site, but it's
hard to link to two places. I did put both groups in the linkroll,
however. Also, a friend of mine and UCF alumni has just created a PHP
Reference. I'm going to see if he'll let us have a review copy
(copies?). That was one thing MikeG did right with CFPHP - free books.
One advantage of a privately hosted site over Meetup.com is the
ability to import/export data, like RSS feeds - simple data, no APIs
or code required, through flash widgets, wordpress plugins, etc.
One disadvantage of Google Groups is the absolute overkill it
provides as an email service, and the spartan layout doesn't make it
a good place for a group homepage, so you need to have a separate web
page or community site, facebook group, etc.
Has anyone set up an Orlando PHP Developers group on MySpace,
Facebook, ViRB, Last.FM? I bet there are some folks out there who'd
find us via happy accident. We have more people on the Florida
Creatives Facebook Group than on the Google Groups. It's true.

No, I don't believe we have, although I'll bring it up to Derek. I
know we were supposed to have a LinkedIn group... I could be wrong.
Any other suggestions?
