NATIONAL MEETING ON THE SHRADHANJALI OF HON'BLE LATE SWAMI LAXMANA NANDA SARASWATI.
In
New Delhi Kalinga Suraksha Mancha organised a Prayer and condolence
meeting upon assasination of the Hindu spiritual leader Swami
Laxmanananda Saraswati today at Lord Jagannath Temple, Tyagraj Nagar,
New Delhi wherein the meeting was addressed by the following
secretarial note. The condolence meeting was addressed by a number of
senior leaders, Member of Parliament from the state of Orissa and the
leaders from different parts of India.
At the very outset I must convey my heart felt condolence upon the assacination of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati and the attack upon swamiji definitely barberic and people behind the attack must be caught and punished as per law.
SECRETARIAL NOTE OF KALINGA SURAKSHA MANCHA :
Let us introduce ourselves first. We are all the people from the state of Orissa (Earstwhile Kalinga) who have joined hand and established a platform for the Oriyas across globe in the name of Kalinga Suraksha Mancha (KSM), which works joining the Oriyas hand to hand for the cause concerning the state of Orissa. Since we have united ourselves, we have joined hands to save this oriya community from any atrocities, misrepresentation, wrong propaganda and rumors etc. as is happening these days.
Today this national meeting on the shradhanjali of our bereaved Hon'ble Swamiji Laxmanananda Saraswati has been called by our national convention to pay our tribute and homage on his departure from Oriya Land upon his consistent effort developing the down trodden Oriya community at large.
KSM is a group of dedicated oriya individual people which has the affiliation from different oriya organizations spreading across the globe. As all of us would agree that the state of orissa in last one or two decades has become a ground for the rumour mongers to bring the name of the state as a land of poverty, illiterate and communal violence etc. which in fact is actually not correct.
No doubt the state of Orissa suffers natural calamities over calamities for last hundred years as a result of which we are possibly lacking many a developmental projects in the field of agriculture, education, industry, health, irrigation etc.
Since the development was important and paramount for the state of Orissa, in the early 1960s Late Swami Laxmana Nanda Saraswati for the development of the state had selected the most down trodden Kandhamal area in Orissa as his field to make the area at least educationally advanced. Since then Swamiji was working hard for the societal development at Kandhamal. Swamiji had played a greater role in the state of Orissa on de-addiction, organic farming, saving the holy cows, imparting education to the tribal illiterate girls, education to the tribal people by opening schools and colleges etc. Today we have the evidence of number of educational institutions which were established and run by Swamiji in the area as well as in the state.
Good people often, were never been accepted by the bad elements of the society. So was the case of Swamiji, who was assassinated by a group of minority community members who were possibly zealous about his raising popularity and concrete stance. Besides the above since Swamiji was standing hard for any illegalities committed in his area be it was on any illegal conversion, pumping and using of illegal foreign money in the area, illegal NGO operations etc. he was a targeted individual for these law breakers and offenders.
Finally the bad element prevailed and succeeded by assassinating Swami Laxmana Nanda Saraswati on 23-08-2008 at his ashram at Jaleshpeta. The murder of Swamiji is a murder of the service to the mankind and is not only condemnable but it is also a condemn to the society at large. People in the state could not stop themselves from their sudden provocation attacking the part of the persons / communities involved in to such ghastly incident when the legs of Swamiji was chopped of before assassinating him and pouncing twenty three bullets through machine gun and further killing four of his inmates.
As all of us knows that this nation was originally a Hindu Rashtra for which the name of this nation is otherwise known as Hindustan. The Hindus are by and large are liberal possibly because of having a broader concept amongst all the religions and conducive atmosphere. We are polite and well behaved as a result of which we have also fell in to the trap of other religions and have also accepted the concept of secularism since independence. However it is an irony and as a matter of fact; in the history when ever this nation was attacked and the sovereign was changed the ruler through out has tried to propagate and spread their religion and the religion through out was a tool to rule this Country.
As all of us know, Christianity is a major religion across the globe. Since the western countries and their business houses has a lots of stake (Business) in India, the western countries are hell bent spreading Christianity in India over decades. The major areas of attraction for spreading Christianity are definitely the Society's down trodden people including the tribal people. As a result of which the down trodden Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe people in orissa are the most affected people for conversion to Christianity. The innocent, illiterate poor people often targeted on the pretext of English education to their children, providing health services through missionaries etc. The poor people were bribed in these fields so as to get financial as well as aforesaid services to change their religion.
The missionaries establish Convent Schools, Modern Hospitals and receive huge money from the affluent Hindu people herein India for their services and ultimately use them for the so called development of the down trodden people. However, these people never have the real intention to serve even the poor downtrodden people at large rather to serve the people who would mend and change to their religion. The one and only intention behind changing the religion is to bring a consensus of Christianity in this country and to some how squeeze the original Hinduism to which we feel proud and is the most ancient religion in this world.
Swamiji had understood the above intention of the Christian community in his area for which he was standing firmly for any illegal conversions. He had reservations against the foreign funding and running of illegal NGOs in the area. Politics in the area were played on different communities like Kandha, Pana speaking Kui language totally based on the illegal conversions. Our innocent, poor orissa people were targeted by such people and politics were even played.
Swamiji through out his life fight for the cause and development of the down trodden poor people in the area and played a major role even on the illegal conversion. A decade ago people of this land did not failed to take action against the missionaries and in the process a convertist Graham Stains along with his family members were killed in a mob. Our State Orissa land has been consistently being allowed to be misused, misnamed by these convertists as a land of Communal tension which is even otherwise incorrect, because as on date the state chief minister in the main road moves even without any security. If any thing wrong that is happening in Orissa these days is the rampant illegal conversion and so is the non capture of the criminals who were involved in to ghastly murder of Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati.
We hope in the near future state of Orissa would take appropriate and necessary action and would be able to capture the real culprits behind the entire episode. We once again strongly condemn the ghastly killing of the Swami Laxmananda Saraswati and pray God for his heavenely abode.
