Dr. Hrusikesh Panda, former CMD of OMFED
Dear readers:
You would definitely agree that an honest CM would wish to be surrounded by all honest Bureaucrats and a corrupt CM would like to keep all corrupt bureaucrats around so that Maximum loot of public property and state property can be achieved.
Konark television was once upon a time a premier brand color television. A 'Bhasmasura'
BJD MLA Kalpataru Das took over as CMD and destroyed it by doing mass corruption. After few years, he would become President (owner) of BIJU PATNAIK INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & MANAGEMENT STUDIES, BBSR and employ a former Konark TV GM as Principal, who claims that he has special expertize to fix sick Industries like Konark Television in his CV. (See the attached PDF file). This is funny because Konark Television was made sick by his boss in such a way that it was never possible to revive.
Mr. Kalpataru Das , writes in his MLA
CV that he has special interest for (destroying ?) small scale Industries ( and use that destroyed wealth to own private Engineering colleges ?).
Apparently, there is a vigilance case pending against Mr. Kalpataru Das and will remain pending forever, under the current pseudo-clean administration.
Why discuss Konark TV now ? Because , the Next Orissa Brand name OMFED is also going to meet the same fate as Konark TV. Thanks to our pseudo-clean CM Naveen Patnaik for removing daredevil & visionary bureaucrat Dr. Hrushikesh Panda from CMD of OMFED.
What did Mr. Panda do ? read the [1]
Rice, Dal, Edible Oil etc. price can increase.. Cattle food price can increase but Milk price can't (As if Orissa cows eat air and give milk) - Says CM Naveen Patnaik
Dr. Hrushikesh Panda says - increase Milk price from 20 to 24/- because the Milk production cost has gone up; In Delhi Mother Diary milk costs about Rs. 25/- per litre. So, why would Orissa Milk producers will suffer and close down their business or sell their milk products some where else ?
It is interesting to know that Dr. Panda has been transferred 27 times in his career span.. Before this when ?
4 proofs of pseudo-clean Choef Minister of Orissa Shri Naveen Patnaik taking Bribe from Shri Ratan Tata
Quote: (Tathya.in)
Months ago when Dr. Hrushikesh Panda was at the helm of Forest &
Environment Department, Tata Refractories Limited (TRL) at
Belpahar, was accused of pollution.
He impressed upon the OPCB to issue closure notice to the company.
OPCB issued closure notice and the Chief Minister announced the closure of TRL in the floor of the House.
So unrelenting was he that the State Government was to shift Dr.Panda to provide relief to TRL.
UnQuote
Dr. Hrushikesh Panda reminds me like T.N.Seshan, who when Joins in any position, takes times to study the rules and apply them. In TRL Bepahar case, he found that TRL was polluting locality and he ordered closing of TRL; even CM forced to say the same in Assembly but finally Ratan TATA's telephone call forced him to shift Dr. Panda to OMFED. Finally EVIL/CORRUPTION won and Dr. Panda lost the TRL battle- two culprits who won the battle ; The Polluter Ratan TATA..
Now, Dr. Panda , with his hard work and vision, as usual worked for increasing Milk production in OMFED,
signed MoU with IOC (not like our CMs 6 Lakh crore non-functioning MoUs), understood the problems of Milk producers and made lot of Money for OMFED. Now, our CM and / or Kalpataru Das's likes eye is on that Surplus OMFED money. Election is at door step and as usual the hungry politicians with help of some puppet IAS will 'OM SWAHA' that surplus money by choking throat of Milk producers.
Finally, either the Milk producers will dilute the Milk or quit the profession. In 1st case, the new born babies of Orissa will suffer with poor vitamin contents and in the 2nd scenario, the OMFED will die like Konark television.
This is copied to Chief Minister of Orissa and may be recirculated in public interest. If any one wish to challenge the facts, may send a mail to me.
Thanks
Manoj Padhi
[1] Controversy as senior bureaucrat in Orissa shifted
http://www.sindhtoday.net/south-asia/44453.htm
Bhubaneswar, Dec 19 (IANS) The shifting of a senior
bureaucrat in Orissa this week from heading a milk farmers cooperative
to a post where he has no work has kicked up controversy with dairy
farmers protesting against the move.
The state government Dec 16 transferred Hrusikesh
Panda from the post of chairman and chief managing director of Orissa
Milk Producers' Federation ltd (OMFED) and posted him as officer on
special duty in the general administration department.
Panda has often been at the centre of a storm for his struggle
against corruption and standing up to politicians since he joined the
Indian Administrative Service in 1979 after topping the entrance
examination.
The latest transfer is just like the other 27 times he has been
shifted during his career. However, thousands of dairy farmers in the
state fear their interests will now be sacrificed.
As milk federation chairman, Panda increased the milk price Nov 1 by
Rs.4 a litre - a move that he claimed was intended to benefit the
federation's half a million members who were finding it difficult to
make ends meet due to the rising prices of food items in the last one
year.
However, the decision was opposed by the government, which the same
day asked Panda to withdraw the hike, and set up a panel to examine if
a hike in milk prices was really required and if so, to determine the
amount. The panel was to submit its report by Nov 28.
As the panel did not submit a report by the deadline, the OMFED's
programming committee, which is authorised to fix prices, decided to go
ahead with the hike. Panda, who chairs the committee, announced Dec 14
that OMFED will increase the price of the milk from Rs.20 to Rs.24 per
litre from Dec 21.
The government transferred Panda after he made the announcement.
However, his removal was protested by dairy farmers, who said the milk
federation had stagnated for a decade, with procurement about 100,000
litres a day until 2003 when he took over.
In the next five years, Panda increased the procurement four fold,
reaching out all over the state. Even in insurgency-affected areas, the
milk cooperatives have been running to the satisfaction of the farmers.
After the roll back of prices in November 2008, procurement has halved and is currently 250,000 litres only.
'We are shocked that Panda was transferred,' Rukmini Dang, a milk producer from Bargarh, told IANS.
'This is a deliberate attempt by the government acting at the behest
of private agencies to undermine the health of a healthy and thriving
cooperative undertaking,' said social activist Biswajit Mohanty.
After he was shifted, Panda told a local TV channel that he was not
sorry for the hike in price and rued that the viewpoint of farmers was
not reflected in the media reports.
His short stints in various posts recently have been due to his
decision to enforce pollution control on high profile industries,
resisting moves to hand over fishing harbours to big ports, refusal to
be bullied by builder lobbies, and enforcement of strict labour laws.
