Typical Dhanu Jatra -  Kans Maharaj on the Elephant, enactment of the epic Krushna Leela etc. are the fame and tradition of Bargarh.

Holding that in any other place with the same style is a cultural attack on the traditional Bargadia Dhanu Jatra, specially in the coastal belt, which they have started recently.

Koshalis - Western Orissa people should raise voice against this cultural theft.

Sambalpuri handloom technology is already smuggled out, and now at many places sold as Katki Saree.

Though it is being said that the same will shift from 30th on wards to  Bargarh, still it seems as a prelim of hijacking this festival off Bargarh.

This is my personal thinking and comment. Others may suggest and comment.

Starting of Bargad dhanu jatra from Puri is a good step forward. But along the same line, can we start the Puri Rath Jatra from Bargad? and Konark festival from Karlapat, Kalahandi??? (This point was raised by Amitabh in the face book group)

I also did not like Kans Maharaj riding a camel insted of an elephant. What a shame!!!!

Best regards,
Sanjib
