Free software workshop in BBSR on Aug 20

Hi

I have been associated with Free software from 3 years and am working
as a drupal developer in PCI Hyd (www.practiceconsulting.com). Also i
have been associated with FSMI(http://fsmi.in), Swecha (http://
swecha.org), FSFTN(http://fsftn.org) and FSMK(http://fsmk.org). As i
am native of Orissa, i want the similar kind of activities to be
organized to take the Free software movement forward.

I humbly request all of you take part in this noble cause and help us
achieve freedom.

Proposed activities:
1. Free software workshop
2. Setting up GLUG's in colleges
3. Setting up GNU Labs in colleges
4. Mentoring students to do their academic projects using Free
software

I am subhransu I am a Drupal and open source developer from odisha.I have worked for more than 3 years in this field also I am working for Drupal localization in odia. Glad to be a part of it. I was discussing with Mr. Sanjay about such programs. If possible we can be in touch for more communication and finalizing venue and time.

Hi all

Sorry for the delayed response. Originally we got engaged in lot of
events in and around AP, TN & Kerala. So it would not be possible to
organize the event on August 20th.

Also the colleges we approached said that they were busy in
admissions. They suggested to arrange the activity some time around
September, so that even freshers can also take part in it.

We will try again to organize the event sometime around in the month
of September and we hope that we get the same amount of enthusiasm we
got when this thread started.

Hi all

We have postponed the Free software workshop to September 10-12
(Friday-Sunday). To finalize the venue and look after the event
management, i will come to Bhubaneshwar on September 4th.

We will have dignitaries from FSMI(http://fsmi.in) to address the
gathering and inaugurate the sessions on Friday. Also resource people
from Industry will take sessions on various Free software topics and
also will inaugurate GNU/Linux labs in some colleges.

I humbly request support from all Free software hobbyists, activists
and organizations based in Odisha to help us make this initiative a
success

make plans for future activities.
