Just one more email, this time for young writers to write for a literary festival in April.  It is for 18-25 year olds and I know a lot of us have just been squeezed out of that age bracket, but if you do know of any writers who are that young, then please do pass it on.

Hello,

 

My name is Emmelie Cox, and I work with Eastside Educational Trust. We are currently in the early stages of planning PEN- a literary festival to take place on the Southbank in April, and we are seeking young writers, aged about 18-25, to create original pieces around the theme “Free the Word”, and also about the River Thames, since the festival will feature a good bit of history about the river itself. The festival will be a unique opportunity for young writers to display their work. We are interested in a wide range of literary work that will be performed or printed at the festival, particularly as part of an Interactive Walk that will take place at the festival. I wonder if you know anyone in the Original Writers’ Group that might be interested in participating. We have a series of different events and workshops leading up to the event, and so any interest in contributing to this project would be wonderful.
