Subject: Congressional Arts Report Card 2006
To: People Interested in the Arts
The Americans for the Arts Action Fund has released the Congressional Arts Report Card 2006 outlining the voting records of Congress on issues related to the arts. This report card, website below, lists the nine arts related issues on which the report card is based and the voting record of each representative. Please go to the website and review the issues and votes. The Action Fund also lists a “grade” from A to F based on these votes.
FYI, while 501c3 organizations are prohibited from engaging in partisan political activity (i.e. endorsing a candidate), it is perfectly legal to disseminate information about the voting records.
Please forward to arts people for whom this may have an impact as the election is less than a month away.
