Hi, all - Just a quick note with some photos more-or-less explaining some of what is happening here of late.... I am photographing dance stage performances regionally and wanted to share some photographs from the Charleston Ballet Theatre's Best of Balanchine festival two weeks ago celebrating their 20th Anniversary. Kristy is also quite busy choreographing and teaching (she's setting her third piece on an excellent Atlanta professional company, The Georgia Ballet - as well as another six or so pieces this year). Look forward to seeing anyone that is attending the 20th of Miss Ann's Carolina Ballet this Friday... Huggins and love, all - Scott (and Kristy)

Hi, John (and Mimi) -
Followup: I am clearing the schedule and definitely plan to be there Friday - I don't want to miss this. I may not be able to stay for the party as I am shooting performances here all weekend, but I am coming for the performance, if it isn't sold out!
I didn't hear back from you, so I am assuming you have a photographer lined up to shoot the performance - but I am sending you links to the shoot in Charleston from two weeks ago, as I would love the opportunity to come photograph the company at some point in the future. The link to the whole shoot is in the e-blast below, but this is a fast link to the Friday performance of Rubies:

Look forward to seeing you - and the whole crew - on Friday!
By the way, I know your email and invitation probably went to everyone, but I am going to forward your email to the OriginalCCB group...
Hugs to everyone -
Scott

Best of Balanchine at the Sottile
Photographs of Charleston Ballet Theatre's Best of Balanchine at the Sottile are online for viewing and selection at:
http://keikoguestphotography.eyeselect.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?category=0
Please scroll down to "Charleston Ballet 2008 Balanchine" - and select from the pages and performances you wish to view. Images include a small number of candid and rehearsal shots in addition to photographs from the dress rehearsals and performances. The performance/dress rehearsal shots of Rubies are separated by cast. All photos from Friday night are in separate folders as they were shot in a different photo format.
Once you are in a folder, you may change ballets using the pull-down menu under "View Events" at the upper left of the top of each page.
There are multiple pages of photos for most ballets or folders; to view additional pages, look for "Go to page" in the narrow gray border at the top (and bottom) of each page of photos and click on the pull-down menu of page numbers.
We hope you enjoy the photographs; I certainly enjoyed the time with everyone, and the opportunity to photograph you all.
Warmest regards, always -
Scott Nilsson
