edges and lightweight edge

i am new in orientDB,i want to know what is the different between edges and lightweight edges ?

This page (http://www.orientechnologies.com/docs/last/orientdb.wiki/Lightweight-Edges.html) does a good job of describing the difference, but note that the second requirement isn't correct, you can have any number of lightweight edges connecting the same 2 vertices.

Basically lightweight edges are faster and use less storage than regular edges, but can't have any properties.
