I'm experiencing some very slow downloads from the OrientDB website. I'm trying to download 2.1.16 and I'm getting very slow speeds, which means I have to wait an entire hour to get the package. I suggest you host your releases on Amazon S3 or something similar for faster downloads.

I've just download and it works fine, it took only 2 minutes to download it.
YOu can try to download from maven central:

Well, I must have reverse-jinxed it. The speed significantly picked up a few minutes after posting, although I had been experiencing the slow download for hours. Cheers!
