I have configured the config.xml with /opt/oseraf/data/databases as the default directory for OrientDB databases.  I copied the GreatfulDeadConerts from the default databases location the new location.  When I attempt to connect I get a database not configured on that path error.  Is there simple way to move an existing orientdb database.

Hi Gregg,
The solution is much simpler: move the database directory where you want and create a symbolic link under "databases" directory.

Does that mean that once a database has been created at a particular path in the directory structure, that path must always exist? Even if it is via soft (or presumably also possibly hard) links?

What if you wanted to duplicate a database and mount it with two different names?

Just copy to another directory and create a symbolic link under databases/ directory with a different name. OrientDB will use the directory name under databases/ to determine the db name.
