Hi there all. I am trying to extend the life of my LBP6200d by adding it to my new SurfacePro8 running windows 11. For whatever reason, when I download the driver from Canon, it seems to download to the machine ok, but then the winzip will not "extract" it to start the install. And when I double click on the file, it tells me I am "overwriting" a download already in place and nothing happens.
When I go to "add printer" via windows, this particular model is not found in the extensive canon "list" of printers. And I do not have the original install disk and anyway do not have a CD drive. Any ideas how to get this to "work"? thanks!
I did some checking online. The LBP6200d appears to be an older model printer. A listing for the unit over on Amazon has questions dating back to 2014. With that in mind, my hunch is that the drivers are not compatible with Windows 11.
The LBP6200d is compatible with Windows 11 and you can download and install the LBP6200d CAPT Printer Driver from our site to setup the printer with the computer. If you are having problems installing the driver on you computer, I would suggest contacting support at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to assist with any issues that you are having with the install.

I have a Canon LBP 6200d compact laser printer and it was working fine with the UK CAPT driver. I must have installed an update form Apple or something and now it no longer works. I removed the driver, added it again, deleted this and that in the /library/ folder and re-installed the CAPT software 3.67 and still nothing. It shows up in the USB discovery. I can add it and choose the LBP6200 UK CAPT selection and then it shown a green light idle online but when I send anything to it the light goes yellow and the job spools indefinitely.
If it was working prior to installing 10.9.5 then what did change was the security on third party plugins. And even though you did install v3.67, there is a chance that there is leftovers from the previous version of CAPT driver.
So remove the LBP6200d from Printers & Scanners. Then open Finder and navigate to /Library/Printers/Canon and trash the CUPSCAPT folder. Still in Finder, navigate to /Library/LaunchAgents and trash the Canon CAPT fie. Then navigate to /Library/Caches/Canon and trash the CCPD folder. With all these trashed, restart the Mac and after logging back in, run the v3.67 installer again and then add the printer. Now see if you can print.
If it still fails to print then open System Information and select Printers in the left column. If this is the only printer then the right pane will have information about the printer. Copy this info and paste back here for me to check.
Your information shows that you have a mix of the older v3.66 and the new v3.67. Each of the sections that show 3.66 should show 3.67. So try removing the printer from Printers & Scanners and follow the instruction again for removing the CAPT driver. Then install the v3.67 again and add the printer.
i just bought canon LBP6200D. it has CAPT driver. When I connect it to Airport via USB, it shows in the add printer window as a bonjour printer. I added it too. But when I try to print, it gives error. Asks me to check whether its connected. Is there JUST ANY WAY to get this to work with the airport? I am not able to share this printer connected via my mac on the network too. ? I am running OS X Mojave 10.14 and airport express
