Trial 1
Mass recovered: 0.86 g (86%)
Beginning of melting: 96.5 C
Totally melted: 104.6 C


Trial 2 (variation i, everything the same)
Mass recovered: 0.74 g (74%)
Beginning of melting: 120.3 C
Totally melted: 123.7 C



The melting point of the first trial was much lower than it should
have been (122 C), indicating that it wasn't as pure as the second
trial. Even though I was supposed to do the two exactly the same, I
ended up leaving the first batch in the oven for exactly 20 minutes,
and the second batch ended up in the oven for longer, 28 minutes.
Maybe the first batch was not completely dry, and whatever water that
was left lowered the melting point. The second batch seemed very pure
based on the melting point.

% recovery: 74.5%
started melting at 102 C
finished melting at 115.9 C

Part B, modification #1

%recovery: 111% (?)
started melting at 99.8 degrees C
finished melting at 104 degrees C.
