Breaking bonds

Enjoyed the first few minutes with OrganicBuilder, then hit a snag that looks like it could be a bug.

As far as I can tell, stage 9 should be doable with the trivial rule

  a1d1 => a1 + d1

but that doesn't work (at least on Mac OS 10.10.5, with Java 1.8.0_60).

Similarly, for stage 12 I tried

  x2x2 => x3 + x3

but it just applies the 3s without breaking the bond.

Am I missing something?

I am glad you enjoyed the beginning, at least.

Could you explain which organic builder you are using and more information about what you exactly did?
The latest version is here : https://github.com/BertrandDechoux/OrganicBuilder/tree/develop

Stage 9 is indeed doable with the single rule "a1d1 => a1 + d1".
The reaction does work correctly using this single rule.
It however appears that there is a old bug with the validator.
The evaluate button will not confirm the success.

It is now fixed with the latest version.

I am not able to reproduce any error with stage 12 and the rule you provided.
