I think I caught a couple of "bugs" so far doing ch9 OWL homework -- just so that people are aware, and please correct me if I got them wrong.
1. Q6
if you need to use azide N3 as your nucleophile, draw the structure with 2 double bonds N=N=N (and adjust your formal charges). although the resonance structures with 1 single bond and a triple bond are totally valid, OWL doesn't like them and will call them wrong.
2. Q11, alkyl bromides giving E or Z alkenes via E2
I'm pretty sure OWL has the wrong answers for some of the entries. you might or might no come across them, as everyone are supposed to be getting different entries. if you tried a few times and still couldn't figure out why you are wrong, don't get too frustrated, as I did.
