The watermelon from Tommy Simmons (Bellevue Gardens) are
still
happening; could be gone next week. Hopefully not. Tommy has a good
crop this season. I remember years of no water, but this year he got
the water. Buy a watermelon!
The Blueberries coming from Melrose Blueberry have a good
reputation. The price is higher than those first berries but still way
below the 1/2 pint prices. Take a pound!
For the last two weeks the South Carolina Yellow peaches
ripened
good and had that peach flavor that I was looking for. I am only
purchasing one case this week. That is 16 pounds. Eat a peach!
Black Plums. . . I don't know about them. I didn't speak
to a
sales person today. Black Plums were good last year and we had a
pretty good run from one grower to another. I am purchasing a case and
I am looking forward to them being good. Try some!
I am also going to get another case of cantaloupe from
California. The California were amazing last year. The last case was
good but not great. So I am purchasing another case now. There are 12
in a case. A cantaloupe is a great way to start the day. . . and
remember with melons, eat em alone or leave em alone. . . . Eat that
cantaloupe in the morning and your good to go past noon.
I am going to go with the whole case on the Lacinato Kale
from COF . . . COF has a reputation for quality. I was going to get
only 1/2 case but we are over the half now by one bunch. So that
leaves eleven more bunches to sell before Tuesday at Midnight. Have
some Kale!
Grapes Red Flame from California. . . The grapes have good
flavor. There are 8 pounds left.
ALSO I just saw that two of the bread items were not on the
ordering page. Those were the sandwich bread, sliced, and the sandwich
bread not sliced. They are on the ordering pages now @ $3.90 a loaf.
(organic, not certified) also there is Banana Bread, and Pumpernickel
bread
