Multitrack recording is a useful feature for content creators that like to record and upload footage from their live stream to other platforms like YouTube. Recording multiple audio sources gives you the freedom to pick and choose which audio sources you want to include in your video.

For example, some creators like to use gameplay footage from their live stream but record additional audio commentary later on. Multi-track recording separates desktop audio and audio from microphones into individual tracks. Now you can isolate specific tracks, giving you more possibilities for edits later on.

Under the Recording tab, you can choose to record up to six separate audio tracks. A variety of additional settings, including your recording path, file type, resolution, encoder and more can be customized from this page, as well.

Many times people want to get complete control over the Discord chat, game audio, the microphone, and the music. For this purpose, there is a need to separate the Discord audio from game audio Streamlabs. Sometimes you can have a guest streamer you want to talk with on stream while being on a role play server.

Though Discord is used for communicating with friends via text and voice chat, you can also make it work as a broadcasting platform. In any situation, you are able to collaborate with your friends based on the topics, channels, and interests. So it is possible to make your interest-based community and interact with them.

On the other hand, Streamlabs is primarily the software suitable for streaming games on your computers worldwide. Plus, Facebook gaming has been integrated with this platform to enhance the user experience.

Keeping this in mind, Discord and Streamlabs are great game streaming partners because Streamlabs offer the best streaming functions and features. In contrast, Discord helps you to communicate with the audience at a personal level.

When Streamlabs offer the best game streaming experience, the Discord functions boost your gaming experience as never before. Discord lets you enjoy complete control over your streaming community's shared content and functionality. Even you can go for customization, like creating your own rules set and adding names and logos through Discord.

Undoubtedly, Discord and Streamlabs are crucial for each other when it comes to game streaming; however, some situations want to exclude one from the other for better performance. For example, the scenario where you don't want your Streamlabs audience to listen to the Discord notifications or the people's voices talking there.

The first step is about installing the Voicemeeter Banana. Open its official site and scroll down to install the 21MB file with the .EXE extension. Now, install the supporting package by clicking the "Virtual Audio Cable" from the secondary menu. From here, download and install the two files where one is VoicemetterProSetup. The second one is the zip file, VB_Cable_Driver_Pack43. Unzip it and install the VBCABLE_Setup_x64. Restart the computer once done.

Secondly, open the system sound settings by clicking Windows > Settings > System > Sound. Swap the input and output by selecting the Voicemeeter Input in the output section and Voicemeeter Output in the input section. Remember that these settings are not permanent when you connect a new audio source; these settings automatically go to default.

Keep the music app running in the background. Now, scroll down the sound settings and go to "Advanced Sound Options." From here, open the "App Volume and Device Preferences." Choose Spotify or any other app and set the output to Voicemeeter AUX Input.

Check the A1, A2, and A3 options from the right side to add the devices like the monitor, headphones, or microphone. Add the primary device to A1, secondary to A2, and A3 if required. Now, choose the hardware input from the left side. It is from where this device will receive the audio.

Select the A1 in Hardware Input 1 to stop monitoring and WDM Cable Output in Hardware Input 2 to separate the Discord Audio in OBS. The middle section is about Virtual Inputs. For example, you can add iTunes, Spotify, or others. You can adjust all the settings on the interface by turning input and output off while streaming.

Open Discord, click "Settings," and choose "Voice & Video." Set the input device to Voicemeeter Output and output device to Cable input. Since the hardware input 2 is set to a WDM cable, you can easily turn off the audio to mute Discord.

Regarding the best and most efficient software to stream games, HitPaw Screen Recorder proves to be the ultimate solution. It allows you to stream multiple sources at a time with the Virtual Camera and ensures high-quality streaming without any glitches. You can either go for a separate record of the microphone audio and the speakers' sound or together. Even it is possible to mute the speakers or the microphone audio if required.

Moreover, you are open to choosing the desired video and audio format that is under your control. Using the multiple templates, disabling the microphone & speaker, and capturing screenshots & keystrokes while streaming/recording are some of its other valuable features.

Since sometimes you need to separate Discord Audio from Game Audio Streamlabs, Voicemeeter Banana can help you immensely. What you need to do is to adjust all the settings according to the tutorial steps. However, some people find it difficult to go through this procedure. If you feel so, HitPaw Screen Recorder can help you a lot. Besides performing the recording function, it can help you stream games without hassle. So let's try it once!

You should see a new fader in the OBS Audio Mixer displaying the audio levels for your new Music source. This is completely separate from the other PC audio sources like system sounds, game sounds, or Discord voice chat.

Next, repeat this process for every other audio source you want to capture. For example, add a source for Discord called Chat, one for game audio, and one for your browser if you use it to watch YouTube on stream.

Go to each of your regular scenes (e.g. Game, Just Chatting, Starting Soon, etc.) and add a new source. Select Scene as the source type, and then select the already existing nested scene which should be named [NS] Audio Sources.

If you want to automatically lower your music volume (or any other audio source) when you speak, you can set up audio ducking or side-chaining. To do this, select your music source in OBS, add the Compressor filter, and select your microphone as the Sidechain/Ducking Source.

For additional assurance, run a test recording using OBS to hear how the new audio ducking effect sounds before going live. This way, you can make adjustments to ensure your audio is exactly the way you want it before streaming live to your audience.

To separate audio in OBS, you can use the Application Audio Capture source with nested scenes. First, ensure that your audio settings are set up correctly. Next, add individual audio sources to the nested scene using the Application Audio Capture source. Finally, add the nested scene as a source to your regular scenes to control all the independent audio sources in the Audio Mixer.

To record separate audio tracks in OBS, go to the Output tab in the Settings menu, and select Advanced Output Mode. Then, select the Recording tab and enable the number of audio tracks you require. Next, add the audio sources you want to record to separate tracks and assign them to the appropriate track in the Audio Mixer. Finally, start your recording, and you should have separate audio tracks for each source.

Another huge benefit of split audio is that it is much easier to repurpose your recordings. Since you have isolated tracks rather than all your audio funneled onto one, you can choose to play with just one audio source to create promotional material, highlight key quotes, and more.

OBS can record audio separately but you need to toggle your settings to do so. As we explained above, you can record up to 6 individual tracks by heading to advance settings. Follow our instructions to get yourself set up.

If you want to do it gradually then you would keyframe the Gain/Volume filter accordingly. The other option is to just split the clips where you want the volume levels to be different and use the Gain/Volume filter to set the level to where you want it to be for those parts.

Is the recording of your voice on one audio track and the game sounds on a different separate audio track? I was responding to you with the assumption that they are on separate audio tracks because that way you can gradually raise the volume up and down between the voice and game soundtracks as you need them to be by keyframing each of those audio tracks separately.

I will not go over how to install OBS or how to get your game to be captured in OBS as there is a lot of videos and tutorials already out there on how to do this, which there is countless ways to configure OBS. The following are screenshots on how I use OBS settings to get the files I want.

Once you get the video file with various audio tracks, this is how Shotcut sees them in the Properties/Audio tab. If your source video has game and mic on just two tracks you will only see two tracks here.

If you only see one audio track, the mic and game audio is mixed together and probably not editable.

Shotcut only sees 1 audio track at a time. (not to be confused with audio channels as with left/right stereo channels.)

To do this, you need GeForce Experience (which is free to download you just need to create an account) and this will allow you to set a hotkey for starting and stopping recording. You can also tell it to not record your desktop and record the game only.

As far as I understand, you want to Adjust Volume separately for Gaming and Voiceover. The Solution here start by actually recording those two things separately. If you record normally using a headset, Raising One voice will raise the entire volume (Along with Game volume)
