Here is the schedule.  Please let me know of any corrections and I will insert them.  After 9:00 on Wednesday evening I will finalize the poster and send it out to you all.  I would ask that everyone try to print a few and put them up around  the area.
                            Thanks,
                                         Robb

       Dear Robb — and All:

Enclosed below is the schedule poster, in .rtf format, which reflects a couple of revisions I suggest we make.

I was not able to insert the logo at the top.  If need be, I’ll bet Ted can do that.

In order to make it more “official” and avoid duplication in putting up the posters around town, I recommend that it be emailed to Gnomon Hanover (Gnomon Copy <han...@gnomoncopy.net>) with a request that they print the necessary copies for us.  It can’t cost very much.

Also, based on Orford Historical Society practice, here below are the places I recommend we post them.  Eva is experienced in doing the posting and I will be glad to lend a hand.  Maybe others can help, as well.  As Ann suggested last night, would be good to put up a few in neighboring towns, as well.

        POSTER PLACEMENT

Orford:  (12)

Post Office                            Libraries  x2

Town Office                          Transfer Station         Town Hall Heritage Center

Carl and all,
Here is the final schedule.  I will let you e-mail this to Gnomon Copy since I assume it will be going through the OHS as the 250th does not have an account.  Also, I have not seen a proof of the poster for Bridge Street.  I assume that this is in the works?   One more question is who is planning on picking up the copies?  It looks like Carl and Eva will post them up around Town, is this correct?

I will submit to jo. Eva , can you submit to Vns? Also , I may do the north country news.  I will take to the camp ground.  Jacob's brook will not put up posters. Where can I get a couple? Thanks Robb. No word from FD so I guess it is a no go.

       To Ted and All:

        In reply to Ted’s questions:

I have ordered the 35 copies of the Orford Day poster, plus the same number of posters to advertise the 250th book, and will pick them up this afternoon at 2 pm.    I will have a list as to where they should go and will contact Eva.

Re the 3 x 2 poster, if Paula has ordered it from Gnomon Hanover and it’s ready by 2, I can also get it.  She is in class today until 1 pm so we may not hear back from her before then.

Is someone going to do one or more messages re Orford Day, together with the Schedule, for the Orford ListServe ?

It looks like the Valley News will have a report in this Saturday’s paper about the Mason Pond project, which I trust will have some info about Orford Day.  Have not yet seen this week’s JO, but they do intend to report on the Mason Pond project.

Hey, gang.

Just got off the phone with Terry.

Paula, did the poster get ordered?  Do you happen to know when it will be ready for pickup?

Looks like Eva needs help putting up posters.  I may be able to help - just depends on timing.

Carl, have your ordered the posters?  When will they be ready for pickup?

And who is picking up the 3x2' poster and Carl's 35 posters?

Thanks.

Could you please ASAP convert the enclosed poster into .pdf format, which is what Gnomon needs to make copies, and then return it to me ?  It’s now in DOC format.

I will then order 35 copies to be printed by Gnomon in color.  Order to be put on OHS account, to be reimbursed by the Orford Day Committee.  Copies should be available by Thursday afternoon. I will pick them up.

Eva:  Can you help put them up?  Others?

Robb:   I don’t know who is doing a proof for a sign at the Bridge Street/Main Street intersection.   Terry:  is it you ?

The poster is done but is in Lebanon office. We will bring home after work.

Not sure if 250th has an account with Gnomon so it will be charged to OHS and will be invoiced to 250th/town

Robb – sorry I’ve been in class since Monday with no access to email. The 2’ x 3’ poster was very simple with 4 pieces of information on – no distracting logos or elements that make it hard to read, only key points (as discussed), see text below. Poster has been printed and laminated, will be delivered this evening and I will put up at the head of Bridge Street.

ORFORD DAY

Saturday, August 13

9:00 am – 9:00 pm

On The Common

Believe the cost was $18.30, and has been charged to OHS because, as you pointed out below, 250th doesn’t have an account.  I’ve informed Mark (to who all Gnomon invoices are sent) so he knows it is coming.

Thanks,

Paula
