THOUSANDS OF BAT (BADUDI) DIED WITHIN A DAY.

Dear friends,
Recently,  I had visited the area of sunabeda plateau (wild life sanctuary) to see the situation of NREGS and stayed 3 days at Patdarha (patdrha means a deep water sources where water stored since immemorial time. Now it dried up ) village of Bhaisadani GP under Boden block of Nuapada district. During this period we organised number of meetings, met many person and talked about their situation .

In 2008 summer , around 600 live stock  were died at patdarha village due to lack of drinking water and extreme heat  said Hiralal Majhi, sarapanch of Bhaisadani GP. The villagers listed the death live stock and informed  B.D.O. and veterinary department for look in to the matter. But no body were listened to the matter. Now the villagers use tractor machine for cultivation.

In 2009 summer, around hundreds monkey were died within a day in Sirli-makarbirli village of Boden block. The death reason  was growing heat and scarcity of drinking water.

In 25th and 26th of May of 2010, thousands of  Bat died because of extreme heat and water scarcity .  I t happened in Chhata, Bisibahal and Khambahi village of Komna block of Nuapada district . The news was reached us after a week (1/6/10) and we visited the same area but could not found a single bat .

What we say this incident ? Are this not adverse impact of climate change ? Certainly . Friends, human number is not far away. We ought to think so seriously on this regard .
