Hi All,

Last night Brylie Oxley and I took a look at a tutorial for writing QGIS plugins.  We have not completed the tutorial.  However, our progress is shared:
https://github.com/OregonWalks/qgis_burgerville

Read http://www.qgisworkshop.org/html/workshop/plugins_tutorial.html to follow and continue.

We worked on a linux system, used geany (not gedit) and QGIS 2.1.0-Master

Brylie's short stay in Oregon is closing.  He is interested in OSM, OpenSource development tools, and developing tools and standards to map walkways.  He will share our activities and interests as his travels continue.

best regards,
