New Compendium Report on Violence in Arakan, Western Burma

Project Maje has produced a new report, "Burma’s Human Rights Blind Spot: A Compendium on Violence Against Rohingyas in June/July 2012." It is at www.projectmaje.org/rohingya_2012.htm

The report, with an introductory note, includes links to more than 20 recent articles, essays and reports, with an emphasis on informative analysis of the crisis, compiled so journalists, humanitarian groups and others interested can easily read about the situation. 

Project Maje is an independent information project on Burma's human rights and environmental issues, founded in 1986. Project Maje was one of the first international observers to call attention to the Burma military regime’s violations of Rakhine and Rohingya rights in the 1990s and the 1991 Project Maje report, "Our Journey: Voices from Arakan, Western Burma" is available for background reading at www.projectmaje.org/docs.htm
