Subject: Faces of IRCO, TIME CHANGE

Hi all-
IMPORTANT MESSAGE
On account of a scheduling conflict for some of our presenters, we are changing the date of this month’s Faces of IRCO from March 24 to March 29.  Please update your calendars…
I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause!

Faces of IRCO:  Burma

As a part of our continuing series of cultural workshops exploring the many cultures of IRCO, our next Faces of IRCO event will be exploring the culture, history, food and politics of the people’s of Burma (Myanmar).  Last year Oregon welcomed over 100 people of Burmese origin and we are expecting to have many more resettled into the area in the coming year.   This presents a great opportunity to learn a bit more about the Burmese populations IRCO serves and the unique situations people have come from and the experiences they have had since arriving in the United States.  Also, you’ll get the chance to sample some typical Burmese food!

What: Faces of IRCO:  Burma
When:  Monday, March 29, 2010 – 6:30pm-8:00pm
Where:  IRCO Main Office
Please RSVP to volu...@irco.org by Friday, March 26, 2010.
