Title： "Aristotle on the Justification of Ethical Principles"

Speaker：Dominic John Scott (University of virginia)

DOMINIC SCOTT, Professor (Ph.D., Cambridge), works mainly in ancient Greek ph
ilosophy. His interests also include ethics, the philosophy of organizations,
trust and intellectual property. Until this year he was a Senior Lecturer at
Cambridge University, where he set up the Forum for Philosophy in Business w
ith Alex Oliver. He has also held visiting positions Harvard and Princeton. I
n 1998–1999 he was a Fellow at the Center for Hellenic Studies, Washington,
D.C., and in 2001–2003 was a British Academy Research Reader. He is an Emeri
tus Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge.
