At ORCID, we are committed to providing you with a secure and seamless experience. To uphold this commitment, we are currently upgrading our authentication and authorization infrastructure (OAuth software).
What's Changing?
On Wednesday, 8 April, we are upgrading our core authentication and authorization infrastructure (OAuth software).
These updates are designed to strengthen our security infrastructure while streamlining the login and API authentication process. While most of these improvements happen "under the hood," you can expect:
Enhanced Security: Robust protection for your data and sessions.
Better User Experience: Smoother sign-in flows and improved authentication reliability.
Optimized Connectivity: Faster handling of API requests.
How This Affects You
The transition is designed to be transparent, and no action is required on your part. However, as we roll out these infrastructure changes, we want to ensure your operations remain uninterrupted.
Please let us know if you notice any issues once live with the following:
Any difficulty with users signing in
Unexpected errors or unknown messages during API requests.
Any noticeable degradation in system performance or latency.
