I'm doing this kind of work now. I would like to be in Meeting to hear or answer what I could help . 

Why? 

 - avoid users mistake while fill their Orcid

 - DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) principle, makes users happy avoiding boring tasks. 

 - the great thing about an Institution update Orcid, is that it will provide data certification to users records, because the data add/update register who makes.

 - could also automate  Researchers  Academic Page of they own or Institucional

- could ease track research works

Things that I learned in this process are: 
- You need use Oauth2 - To get authorization from user. 

- Your need to plan where you will force  users to be authenticated by Orcid.
