Help me. Error: content is not allowed in prolog

Hi everybody.

when i update BIO with CURL by statement :

curl -H "Content-Type: application/vnd.orcid+xml" -H "Authorization: Bearer f18c2656-3fca-4412-b706-64e5ec982028" -d "D:/updated_bio.xml" -X PUT "https://api.sandbox.orcid.org/v1.2/0000-0002-5780-7855/orcid-bio"

on the screen show error org.xml.SAXParseException; Linenumber : 1; ColumnNumber:1; content is not allowed in prolog

please help me.

Hi Tuan,

Check that you're call is pointing at the right file and able to read the file. That error is usually returned where there is an issue with the path to the file, though it could also be an issue with the XML you're posting.

Also, we have a list of common error codes at http://members.orcid.org/api/api-error-codes which can help with diagnosing issues.

now i want to update BIO ORCID by java code but i can not put xml file .

how i put xml file by java?
