Hi,

Three cheers for Orchid and it's growing community first of all.
I just want to ask you guys that what all things we need to have in a
framework.

My 3 cents are:

(1) Multi Language support ( using cookies )

(2) Multi Theme Support

(3) Complete Payment gateway system

(4) SMS gateway system

(5) Support to third party Web Services

(6) Advanced Authentication ( session in db, memcache ) and complete
ACL.
An ACL must have Roles, Operations, Modules & submodules linked to
users & admin_users

(7) Module loader based on one's roles

(8) An Ajax/PHP based Grid system

(8) A browser history tracker

(9) Simple Templating

(10) Cache Manager

(11) Registry

(12) A db class ( pdo, mysqli etc )

(13) An Exception class

(14) Pager class

(15) Common Helpers ( files, directories, arrays, date, string,
country dropdowns etc etc )

(16) JQuery wrappers, tiny mce, calendar etc etc

(17) simple ORM

(18) simple testing

(19) Ht access generator

Pls have your say so that we can make Orchid further into mainstream
development framework

It's just a suggestion..

What i would like to see in a new framework is, how quickly i can make
it to do things that i want it to do. And top of it, the framework
does not have a box. So, if i have to do some thing out of the box the
system should have a excellent hook system.

These things you mentioned, with proper respect; if the hooking system
is nice and flexible, i am sure these things can be added very soon.
