fraternal twin flowers on my orchid

This is was a surprise!  What would cause a phalanopsis to send out two different coloured flowers.  The temperature and light have not changed.  Moisture pretty much a constant too.

The most frequent cause for this would be a flower that needs a few days for the color to "set". This would be most common in Phalaenopsis that have a base color of yellow. There would also be a change in color as a flower begins to age, about one to two weeks befire it is going to senesce and drop.
Light would certainly affect this, especiall if the plant was moved when one bud was opening, but the other still several days away from opening.
 
What looks most likely to me is that the lighter and brighter flower is at least several days older, and the darker one opened within the last week.
