Hi,

We are just started evaluating orchestrator. Will it support failover machines(clusters) on a large scale?

Thanks,
Shan

I happen to be familiar with a setup at about that scale, that has had mass failovers, and it worked. One thing to note, though, is that when hundred of clusters are involved, failing over all of them will take more time.

Thanks Shlomi. How much more time? We are trying to see if this can be useful in a zone failure scenario. We have many shards and small clusters with simple M-P topology.

I don't have first-hand experience with mass failover at this scale. I _believe_ for a single orchestrator it might take a couple minutes, but that's based on data I got from one user at one experience.
