Not sure how it works. In other cases it seems to be focused on one particular product which is tied to an area, whereas our produce will be very varied; instead of one product we are marketing an area and an idea of that area as being wholesome and producing good food generally. We don't have one particular product that is specific to this area, unless it's Cairn o' Mohr's wines and ciders - but those aren't necessarily representative of everything else we might produce...

Re PDO's having features and characteristics of geographical area e.g. Shetland lamb , jersey potatoes and am thinking about food produced rather than processed or prepared foods...so the various Scottish heritage ? apple vars.

I will ask a Shetland lamb chap I can msg via linked in ..whT he knows , if that helps . All for now ursula
