It felt like your vision was strong at one point but then faded. I used to love it when you challenged us to worship apart from our instruments and lead the way into the presence of God. Are you still as passionate for God as you used to be?
For instance, when the congregation loves a song, the band is already bored with it. I choose being bored to help people worship. The key in this example and perhaps in most is simply being honest that preferences come second to the people we serve.
It is not about a musical outlet. It is ministry. This is the hardest and best thing to teach a team. After all, pros do the same tunes under terrible touring circumstances for years on end. Why do worship people feel so entitled?
In the beginning i was passionate because it was centred around seeing people worshiping God, now its about we should play Jesus Culture or Hillsong united songs and when i start going prophetic and spontaneous they hesitate and dont really like it, which really discourages me. My heart for the band has really died and I know God is calling me to something else. Im scared to leave the band and be on my own, any advice?
Have you considered an internship at a church or in a worship ministry? That may be a great next step if you are really wanting to pursue ministry. That way you are getting the training and experience you need for longevity, but also with like minded peeps.
With regards to the forth point, it becomes very difficult to balance focus with fun, because more than often, worship members tend to prefer all fun, and rehearsals become difficult to control, as more time is wasted on unnecessary chats and jokes, which then leads to a long rehearsal with minimal outcome.

In this paper I will first explore worship in the Old Testament vocabulary and usage and then examine what this suggests about worship in our day. Both the vocabulary and temple context of worship in the Old Testament give us a vision of worship as the embodiment of a true relationship of submission to God. These insights can transform how we experience ritual worship in our day and teach us how to live a life of worship by bowing down and serving the Lord in our daily lives.

From the beginning of the New Testament to the very last chapter, this word denotes worship as bowing before God, acknowledging his greatness and our own submission to Him. God on the throne is worshipped by angels, cherubim, and the twenty-four elders (Revelation 4:10). Jesus received worship from the Wise Men, the Leper, and Jairus when he came because his daughter was sick near death.
The general meaning denotes submissive adoration signified by bowing before or praising the one worshipped. Even the giving of gifts by the Magi was not a worship ritual, but an expression of adoration.
The greatest commandment, Jesus said, is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Jesus also said we are to worship God and serve only Him. In the Sermon on the Mount, He said we are to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
Love and adoration humbly expressed would be one way of describing this worship. Rituals of worship without this adoration in the heart are never acceptable, even if God commands those rituals, as He did in the Old Testament.

The decline in church membership mostly reflects the fact that fewer Americans than in the past now have any religious affiliation. However, even those who do identify with a particular religion are less likely to belong to a church or other place of worship than in the past.
Although there has been a steep increase in the proportion of Americans who do not have a religious attachment, they remain a small minority of the U.S. population. Three-quarters of Americans, 77%, identify with some organized religion, though that is down from 90% in 1998 through 2000.
Meanwhile, 67% of Protestants, down from 73% in 1998-2000, are members of a church. Much of the decline in Protestant membership is attributable to the increasing percentage of Americans who simply identify their religion as "Christian" rather than as a specific Protestant denomination such as Baptist, Lutheran or Methodist. Gallup classifies "Christian" respondents as Protestants but, as might be expected, nondenominational Christians are less likely to belong to a church (57%) than Americans who identify with a specific Protestant denomination (70%).

By and large, the candidates in RCIA find the whole notion of Catholic worship of images or saints as ridiculous. Although they can rarely articulate why Catholics do what they do when venerating the saints, the reasonableness of the practice, and why there is nothing wrong with kneeling before a statue and praying to a saint, they intuitively realize how absurd it is to suggest that Catholics are statue-and-saint-worshipping idolaters.
For example, what if I see a Protestant kneeling in prayer with a Bible in hand? I would know his intention is to worship God, not the Bible. The fact that he is kneeling with a Bible is no proof at all of his offering worship to a book.
It is true that Catholics give a higher level of honor to Mary because of her status as Theotokos (literally God-bearer). The veneration given to Mary is categorized as hyperdulia, whereas the veneration given to other saints is termed dulia. Neither of these is adoration or worship. The word describing adoration and worship given to God alone is latria. I might add that the title Mother of God does not mean Mary is the mother of the divinity of God as if she somehow conceived the divine essence of the Holy Trinity. Rather, it means she is the mother of Jesus who is fully God and fully man. The title Theotokos, then, is a theologically precise way of stating who Mary is, who Christ is in his Person with respect to his divine and human natures, and the inseparable relationship between Mother and Son.
Further, God the Father freely and intentionally created us as physical and spiritual creatures who rely on sensory input to discover, inquire, perceive and formulate insights. We learn through encounters with images and symbols, through sights and sounds, taste and touch. That we are creatures very much dependent upon our senses is the wise and loving plan of God. Why would God deprive us of the very things we need to help us discover and contemplate the mysteries of the divine faith? For example, what better way to begin to know Jesus than to pray to him while gazing upon a sacred image of his divine and human face? What better way to meditate on the love of God than to prayerfully gaze upon a crucifix? If I kneel down while in prayer before a crucifix, I am not worshipping an image, but rather giving worship to whom the image represents.
