When you run a Quick Repair operation, Office will attempt simple repairs using local files already on your PC. This usually takes a minute or two to complete. In about 4 cases out of 5, in my personal experience, this step alone is enough to repair Office properly and restore it to working order.
In the window How would you like to repair your Office Programs, select Online Repair > Repair to make sure everything gets fixed. (The faster Quick Repair option is also available, but it only detects and then replaces corrupted files.)
Recently, I had an issue with Outlook not launching at all; it just remained stuck on the splash screen. Disabling add-ons did not help either. So, I turned to the next best option, which is to repair Microsoft Office. Microsoft refined the repair options with the Office 365 release (Now referred to as Microsoft 365). Based on Click-to-Run technology that makes it easy to access repair files over the internet, there is no need to install media.
Choose the type of repair you would like to perform. Depending on the severity or availability of your Internet connection, you could try the first option, Quick Repair, which is much faster and tries to fix the problem without a data connection.
Office 365 is the worst MS product I ever had. I have to repair it at least once a month and as already said by some people above , it is most likely a reinstallation. Quick repair does not work as it is anything but quick. I had a quick repair last week that took 2 days..in the meantime I was not able to work nor to stop the program from running to go for a reinstallation by myself.
Hello everyone, I'm trying to do online repairs on machines, silently through command line commands. The repair does kick off and run, however I'm convinced, despite the command, it is only doing a quick repair.
An actual online repair will take a little longer, unpins office apps from the taskbar, and updates if there is an update available (which there is for these devices). This repair is happening quicker, is not unpinning and is not updating. I verified by manually doing an online repair on one device and it did everything it should have.
We installed MS Office on our remote desktop session hosts using the Office Deployment Tool. One of our third-party app vendors has asked us to reinstall/repair the installation due to an issue their software is having with the export to Excel function.
Does anyone know if there is a way to reinstall/repair the installation using the Office Deployment Tool? I was thinking if necessary I could just reinstall it using the exact same XML file we used when we originally installed it.
My Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus installation has started to have some issues lately, and I'd like to do a repair install. The program is not listed in my Programs and Features section of my control panel, however. I'm on Windows 7 Professional, and both the OS and MS Office are 64-bit. Is there a way that I can manually start the repair program without accessing the option through Programs and Features?

Before you go to the repair shop and the engine check light is on, consider taking it to an auto parts store who may run a computer diagnostic test on your vehicle free of charge. You can then compare this to what you are told by the repair shop.
You may be asked to sign both the authorization to inspect and the authorization to commence repair work at the same time. The authorizations may be on the same piece of paper, but they should require a separate signature. Read each one carefully before signing.
You should not allow anyone to speak for you in negotiating car repairs on your vehicle. Deceptive shops will use this as an excuse to add on extra charges, on the grounds that some other person authorized the repairs.
You should clearly indicate in writing that giving this information does not constitute an authorization to inspect or repair your vehicle. The authorization to inspect or repair is a completely separate authorization that should also require your signature. Deceptive shops will extract this personal information from you, commence work without your authorization, and then claim that you authorized the work because you provided this information and would not have done so unless you had authorized the repairs.
Even if you are unsatisfied with the mechanic's explanation of the difference between the estimate and the final charge, keep in mind that if you refuse to pay a repair bill -- even a bill in dispute -- the mechanic has the legal right to keep your car until you pay. You can then file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office or the Better Business Bureau and/or file a small claims court law suit against the mechanic.
If you suspect that the repair shop has not properly repaired the vehicle or charged you too much and you can't get them to resolve the problem to your satisfaction, your first step should be to take your car to another repair shop. Give the second mechanic a copy of your itemized receipt and order an inspection of the alleged repairs and parts. Get this report in writing. If you notice the same problem with your car is recurring, or find a new problem that should not have arisen, you will be in a better position to negotiate a refund from the first mechanic if you get a second mechanic's opinion of the work done in writing.
