Creating Orbeon Form from Excel Template

We asked ourselves whether it is possible to generate an Orbeon form from an Excel template.
To ensure that everything is written correctly in the background, a kind of API containing the application logic would be essential.
Is there anything like this available, or is something in the pipeline?

Orbeon Forms can generate an Excel file for a specific form that users can fill out instead of using the web form. You can then import this Excel file to extract the field values and populate the database as if the user had completed the form on the web. Does this align with your requirements?

I was familiar with this function when filling out the fields.
However, I am looking for a way to create a completely empty Orbeon with the controls via import (e.g., Excel). This would mean that I would not have to create each control individually for large forms. Is there something like this available?

Are you suggesting that this would be an Excel file defining the form, so instead of creating the form in Form Builder, you could build it, at least partially, using Excel? If so, Orbeon Forms doesn't support such a feature. Out of curiosity, what would the Excel file look like?

Yes, that's exactly what I was looking for. Especially for very large forms, I wanted a way to create the Orbeon form directly using a specific Excel template. I haven't thought about the details of what the Excel template should look like yet.
