Dear all,

I got problem of log in after i install successfully. I check everywhere, but cannot find the reason why ?

I found the login record already in table users, i see no error in error.log at /app/temp/logs/errror.log

When i input wrong Email ID & Passoword, it show error correctly, but when i input correct Email ID and password and sumbit it do nothing and just reset the form.

Could you please help me to solve this problem ?

Many appreciates for your help

Thanks,
Tran

It seems that they are not interested to support open source ...one of my friend told me that he is monitoring the progress of this project since long time...initially they were responding quickly but not now.

Dear OrangeScrum Support Team,

Firstly, It shouldn't take you Some Harsh words on a Public Forum for you to start responding to Issues. It shows on your Commitment level and defeats the purpose of a Public Forum.

Secondly, Even though, Thank You for responding atleast. Since many people as facing the same issue, It seems to be generic. I have tried the Installation on Windows and Mac OS X. On Xampp and Ampp Configurations. But it just doesnt seem to work.

My Primary Configuration is Mac OS X Yosemite on Xampp Server. Used the Installation Manual to the word.

The results are as follows:

The Quick Sign Up Page appeared. I registered Successfully. Followed by the Login Page. Checked the Database and the User is properly created. But on Entering the Correct Credentials, The Login Page just Resets the Text Fields and Reloads. Nothing Happens. On entering Wrong Credentials, The Correct Error Message is Displayed.

So pls let all of us know what the Issue is. Coz we dont seem to be able to find any solutions to this.

Thank You!!

Hi Devraj,
We are not fully tested the Orangescrum in Mac OS.
Its working fine in the Windows.
Can you please check the following in your server:
  • htaccess
  • CURL
The above should be active in your server.

Hi Devraj,

Are you running the application using the default port (80) or something else?

Dear All,

Just solved this Problem Yesterday by the OrangeScrum Team.

If you have Problem of Login Screen getting Reset on Correct Credentials, Kindly Check the Following:

If your URL is: localhost/orangescrum

Then Kindly Replace localhost with 127.0.0.1

Hope this Works for you guys as it worked for me.

Cheers!!

Hi...

Browse to the FQDM and this should work rather than using the IP address - You may have to update the constants.php file to include the FQDM in 'DOMAIN'

I don't believe this is an issue with OrangeScrum but maybe the Web Servers have issues passing the Suffix?

Cheers,
Sean

I recently installed orangescrum and came across this issue.. yes, changing "localhost" to the ip allows the app to run; however, I found the issue to be with how cookies are stored.

There is a constant by the name "DOMAIN_COOKIE" that is just a container for the server name so by design, the cookies are not set because the domain is invalid unless the domain is set to false. Here is what i added as a quick fix:
- open app\config\constants.php
- find:
define('DOMAIN_COOKIE', $_SERVER['SERVER_NAME']);'

- replace with:
define( "DOMAIN_COOKIE", ( $_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"] === "localhost" ? false : $_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"] ) );
