Form Personalisation Assignment Formm - R12

Hi All,

 

We are currently migrating from 11i to R12 and facing an issue with the Assignment Form Personalization.

 

Issue Description: As per the client requirement, we have made the Assignment category mandatory. In 11i, when this field is not entered, the record is not saved. But in R12, I can save the assignment record without entering this field.

 

I have split the Form Personalization record into 2 records in R12: (Trigger Event: When New Block Instance)

 

1.       Make the field mandatory

2.       Set the property “ITEM_IS_VALID” to False to prompt the message “Field must be entered”

 

This setup is not working in the Assignment form.

 

Kindly let me know if anyone of you have faced a similar issue and if so what is the solution you have implemented to solve the issue.
