04 November, 1977 - L/Cpl. Loom, N.J. 6th Bn, RR. DOAS. RoH.

04 November, 1977 - L/Cpl. Coom, Nicholas J. 6th Bn, RR. DOAS. RoH.

04 November, 1978 - Rfn. Ross, Grant. B Coy, 1st Bn, RR. DOAS. RoH.

04 November, 1893 - Matabele occupied. 

04 November, 1893 - BSA Company forces occupy Bulawayo. 1893, a tattered Union Jack flag in whose center was emblazoned the Lion emblem of the British South Africa Company was tied to one of the tree's branches. The flag was raised to signify the capture of Bulawayo and the successful conclusion of the Matabele War. Annually Bulawayo remembers the flag raising ceremony by the British South Africa Company, as this represents the official founding of Bulawayo as a town. 1897 - The Cape Railway line reaches Bulawayo. 


04 November, 1970 - Alouette 111B (R5074) crash (Cat 2) at Charara Camp Site. Occupants. Air Lt. Roberts, B.A. and Flt. Lt. Wrigley, G.W. and WO11. Tapping, C.

04 November, 1976 - Britain proposes Rhodesian independence under black majority rule by 01 March, 1978.

04 November, 1976 - Beech Baron 95 (R7310) crash (Cat4) Under carriage collapsed on landing at Perrems Airfield near Umtali. Occupant; Flt. Lt. Russell, M.I. 

04 November, 1977 - Britain would be Governor of Rhodesia, Lord Carver, was welcomed to Salisbury by groups of Senator Chief Chirau's Zupo Party whilst on his way to the British Residual Mission at Mirimba House; they pelted tomatoes and bananas at his car, unfortunately as Zupo later complained "most of the ammunition was eaten by the demonstrator on demonstrators on their way the protest".
