11 November, 1969 - Col. Sgt. Ferreira, Walter Robert. 2 Cmd, RLI. KOAS - Vehicle accident. RoH.

11 November, 1979 - Private. Mutandi, Leonard. Three Maintenance Unit. KIA. RoH.

11 November, 1979 - Field Reservist. Cuva, Francesco. BSA Police. KOAS - Traffic accident. RoH.

11 November, 1979 - Private, Moyo, Amon, Four Maintenance Unit. KIA. RoH. 

11 November, 1918 - Armistice Day. Celebrated every year on the 11th November to commemorate Armistice signed between the Allies of WW1 and Germany to at Compiegne, France, for the cessation of hostilities on the Western Front of World War 1, which took effect at 11h00.  See; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armistice_Day

11 November, 1929 - Air Ministry Imperial Airways and Cobham Blackburn Airlines begin operational and technical survey of Cairo-Cape Town Air Route. Completed 11 April, 1930. 

11 November, 1965 - Unilateral Declaration of Independence (UDI)  - British impound 11 Hunter and Canberra Engines. 


11 November, 1965 - Rhodesia becomes Independent with Prime Minister Ian Douglas Smith making a radio broadcast to the nation at 13h15.

11 November, 1965 - Press Censorship Imposed. 

11 November, 1965 - Triangular Night. To celebrate the anniversary of the Unilateral Declaration of Independence, the RLI Corporals Club invite the Officers Mess and the Warrant Officers and Sergeants Mess to a Triangular Night on or about the 11 November each year. Triangular night originated at Kariba on 11 November, 1965 -  when the Battalion was deployed as a precautionary measure just prior to the assumption of independence.

11 November, 1970 - Rhodesian Independence Day Parade.
