Remember recently I was after the words for "We are the Shumba drinkers" Well as you know, thanks to ORAFS I managed to get into contact with the Mike Wescott who's band originally sang the song "Shumba Drinkers" plus " It's a long way To Mukumbura" A few of us are going to try and do a gig to raise some money for medical equipment ( ECG machine) for our small town of Chimoio and we were going to sing . "WE are the dois M drinkers" etc ( our beer is 2M) slightly altered to suit Chimoio. Well thanks to the kindness of Mike Wescott , he passed on this CD for us to Tony Cowell who in turn sent it up to me. I thought some of the ORAFs chaps may remember some of the numbers on the CD besides "The Shumba Drinkers". Not sure where one can obtain this CD which we are going to raffle for our Medical fund but I am sure Mike Westcott would know if anyone wanted a copy. Jeepers quite a few memories on this CD, some I like to remember and some I like to forget, I just enjoy the good memories. Best regards
